Our Work in Africa
The ministry of Grace Bible Mission is to share the Gospel of Salvation through Jesus Christ to Cameroon and West Africa. We do this through our seminary Cameroon Biblical Seminary, through our 80 Grace Bible Churches of Cameroon and through our Christian Medical Clinic.
The challenge in Africa is that there is false teaching everywhere. Through a mix of false teaching, African traditional religious beliefs and outright heresy, many Christians believe in some other form of salvation. They fail to recognize that their salvation is not real because many of their pastors and preachers don’t know the Bible’s true story of salvation. The false teaching of the “Prosperity Gospel” or “Word of Faith” is a very compelling message to the impoverished masses in Africa.
Our work is based on “the Bible, the Whole Bible and nothing but the Bible.” In our seminary, we teach our students to teach the Bible, chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse. In our churches our pastors teach the Bible, book-by-book in a straightforward way. The message of salvation is presented and the Bible is taught to build up the faith of believers.
The Bible in Romans chapter 10 tells us that “Faith comes by hearing, hearing the Word of God”. “But how shall they hear? How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
